A mass-timber workplace rooted in Liberty Village’s creative and collaborative energy.

Located in Liberty Village, 60 and 80 Atlantic are office buildings featuring social spaces and innovative technologies.
The newly completed 80 Atlantic is Toronto’s first mass-timber office building in over a generation. Its exposed wood frame adds warmth and texture to the workplace, updating the neighborhood's historic industrial style.
While 60 Atlantic demonstrates the value of adaptive reuse, 80 Atlantic focuses on the future. Its timber structure lowers embodied carbon and creates bright, high-performance workspaces filled with natural light. Together, these two buildings create a cohesive campus that balances historic preservation with modern innovation.

We are incredibly honoured 60 & 80 Atlantic has been awarded the 2022 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Governor General’s medal, the highest distinction given to an architectural project in Canada.
The jury “respected the deft use and juxtaposition of architectural intervention in this project. The integration of existing elements with the addition and adoption of the required modern spaces highlighted a successful architectural process within the constantly evolving built environments around our cities.”
Congratulations to BDP. Quadrangle and everyone else involved in this project.

Buildings don’t usually grow on trees. 80 Atlantic incorporates exposed mass timber columns and beams with exposed cross-laminated timber ceilings.
